02 · Fundamental Setup

Claude Desktop install

Same install for everyone, Windows and Mac differ in the security-prompt step. Do this before touching connectors.

      If someone's on a managed device and the install silently fails or Gatekeeper won't offer "Open Anyway" — that's IT policy (Group Policy / Jamf / Kandji), not a broken download. Loop in IT rather than retrying.

      03 · Already Built Into Claude

      Standard connectors

      Settings → Connectors in Claude Desktop. Each person connects with their own account for that tool — shared logins attribute actions to the wrong person.

      Claude in Chrome is the one exception — it's a Chrome extension install, not an OAuth connector. Same IT-policy caveat applies on managed machines.

      "Your admin has restricted this app" or a silent failure means an org-level admin gate on that specific tool (Slack workspace admin, Google Workspace admin, HubSpot super admin) — not a device problem.

      04 · Dev Environment

      Cloudflare + Claude Code setup

      Local environment for building and deploying with Wrangler. PowerShell on Windows, zsh/Terminal on Mac — the commands differ in a few specific places, flagged below.

          These don't exist as one-click connectors in Claude today. Each needs its own scoping — an API, an MCP connector, or an interim workaround — before it's usable inside Claude Desktop or Claude Code.
